About Us

The Computer Programming Program within the Department of Computer Technologies began accepting students in the 2006-2007 academic year and graduated its first students in the 2007-2008 academic year.

Although evening classes were offered between 2009 and 2013, currently only full-time instruction is provided.

Curriculum updates are made as needed, taking into account the opinions of internal and external stakeholders, to reflect evolving technologies and innovations.

In June 2025, after consulting with internal and external stakeholders, the mission and vision of the Computer Programming Program were renewed, educational objectives were updated, program outcomes were revised to encompass the necessary outcomes, and additional courses were added.

Protocols were prepared and signed for the "On-the-Job Application" and "Business World in Our School" projects to enable students to gain industry experience.

The Aim of Our Program
The Computer Programming Program; The program aims to train qualified intermediate-level professionals who possess fundamental technical skills in software development and information technology, can think analytically, are sensitive to ethical values, are adept at teamwork, follow technological developments, and can adapt to the changing needs of the sector. The program aims to contribute to the development of the sector by equipping its graduates with the skills to undertake effective roles in the IT sector on a local and global scale.

To train individuals who can think analytically, are adept at teamwork, closely follow technological developments, constantly renew themselves in line with the IT needs of the sectors, possess strong technical competencies in software development and information technology, and adhere to ethical principles.

Basic Information Technology Knowledge:
  • Graduates will be able to understand the basic knowledge of computer system hardware, software, and network structures and apply this knowledge in practical processes.

Programming and Software Development Competence:
    • Graduates will be able to develop software solutions tailored to user needs using current programming languages ​​and manage the software lifecycle.

    Problem Solving and Teamwork:
    • Graduates will be able to work individually or in multidisciplinary teams to produce analytical solutions to problems in the field of information technology.

    • Graduates adhere to ethical principles in their professional practice; they are aware of social, legal, and environmental responsibilities.
